My neighbor cut her tree
It is suppose to be her tree
So she can do anything with it
But with the sound and shake
Trunks are coming down
Hard and heavy
A tree of fifty years?
Or is it longer?
Up roll the curtains
Out of the windows
Diameter of the tree trunks
As big as six feet wide
Pine needles
Scattering
The tree
Sighing, screaming, and crying
All at the same time
Sadness is eating me
Why I chatted so happily
When the neighbor told me she was going to cut the tree
I should have stopped her
Or is there any use
She said the tree blocked all the power lines
And she did not want to see it go either
She has an option to keep the trunks
But she chose to remove the tree
Shall I suggest differently
Whether she would listen
One big sound
Compresses
My heart
One shaking of the ground
The life
Lost
“It is easy!”
The machine laughs, grinding the trunks down
Minutes
Swallow
Years
Years of growing, to be
A tree of big canopy
A canopy, hides the bird
A canopy, over three families
In the backyard
A slice of sky that has not seen
Is open
Gone is the canopy of the pine
Forever
The peace between men and creatures
Is that a bridge
We can never maintain
But broken?

To my valentine, my beloved;
Since when does your breath carve a hint of mountain scent?
A scent that reminds me of the mountains of Oslo,
It was last summer when we took the trip,
I finally discovered a place where you feel home.
Your heart is rejoiced, even for breathing in the air,
The air, filled with the mountain scent;
Your shoulder starts to jump, and your chest starts to open,
Open to embrace.
You go for a hike, picking raspberries and blueberries,
The smile so happy that mimicking a child;
You are excited, sunlight glitters within your eyes,
Your shoes are wet, stepping over ponds and waters;
You relax, beside the lakes and fjords,
Your hands are cushioning, for you to lie down and enjoy;
You make trips to pick your favorite soft drinks and hot dogs,
The little things that will bring you back to the place.
With your arms open, I lie against you,
With my eyes closed, I can dance in the mountain and play by the water,
The subtlety of your love, as wide as mountain, as quiet as water;
Bring me closer to you every time I meet your eyes,
The blue, not too striking, but deep and soft;
That, my valentine, is the best gift of all.

Only if I get bigger, so I can drive the car like mommy does,
Only if Daddy gets smaller, so he can sit on my car seat;
Only if I get bigger, so I can touch the ceiling like mommy does,
Only if Daddy gets smaller, so he can sleep in my bed;
Only if I get bigger, so I can take care of my baby like mommy does,
Only if Daddy gets smaller, so he can ride on my trike with me;
Only if the cactus tree at the backyard can get smaller, my baby girl,
Your mommy and daddy will only get smaller when you are getting bigger.

Does God have wings? God must have wings, otherwise, how can he travel around the world and listen to all children’s prayers? His wings must make him go fast, so he can be here and there in a minute!

Does God have wings? God must have wings, otherwise, how can he go up to the sky and just disappear after he is risen? His wings must flap and carry him all the way up!

Does God have wings? God must have wings, otherwise, how can I feel so gently hugged at His presence? His wings must have a lot of feather that is soft and warm!

Does God have wings? God must have wings, otherwise, how can he part the red sea? His wings must be strong so the water come apart!

Does God have wings? God must have wings, otherwise, how can he give 5 pancakes and 2 fishes to all the people? His wings must be long and far-reaching to get the food, just like a magician!

Does God have wings? God must have wings, otherwise, how can he destroy a city of all sins in a minute? His wings must be angry at that time and command mighty power!

Does God have wings? God must have wings, otherwise, how can a heaven sing in his glory? His wings must act as a conductor’s baton so all the voices listen!

Does God have wings? Or does it matter? His wings can be small, or big; powerful, or gentle; angry, or happy; or all of the above!

Does God have wings?
